3 Days Safari - Tsavo East and Amboseli
Overview of Safari
This 3-day safari adventure offers an exciting blend of wildlife, scenic beauty, and cultural encounters. Starting with a drive through charming villages and forests, the journey begins at Tsavo East’s Sala Gate, where you’ll spot crocodiles by the Galana River and enjoy game drives to see lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. On day two, you travel to Amboseli National Park, famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of elephants, with an afternoon game drive to Lake Amboseli. The final day includes an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village before returning home via landscapes featured in the classic film Out of Africa. This safari is ideal for travelers seeking a short yet immersive experience in Kenya’s wild heart.
Itinerary of Safari
Day 1:
Departure at about 06:00 from your village or home. To get to the park, continue along a red earth track of about 100 km that crosses forests and villages of indescribable charm and beauty. You arrive at the entrance to the Sala Gate park at around 09:30. First stop at the Galana River, where crocodiles can be observed. Once inside, the GAME DRIVE begins to see as many animals as possible, in the park you will meet: lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, dik-dik, antelopes, waterbugs, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, hippos, and other animals of the savannah. At 13.00 you will then arrive at the lodge or camp. Check-in, (it is recommended to bring a photocopy of your passport) lunch and rest. Relax in the pool to admire the animals drinking from the nearby waterhole. We leave for the GAME DRIVE at 3:30 pm until sunset, return to the lodge, dinner from 7:00 pm, and overnight.
Day 2:
Wake up at 06:00, breakfast at 06:30, departure for the Amboseli Park at 07.00. Take the road that connects the city of Mombasa with the city of Nairobi. Before arriving at the park, a short stop to buy cool drinks. Arrival at the Rimeto Gate park entrance around 10:00. GAME DRIVE to admire the animals: lions, gazelles, giraffes, herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas. Arrival at the camp or lodge located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, an inactive volcano 5,895 meters high, the highest peak in Africa whose peaks, Kibo and Mawenzi, are perpetually covered with snow. around h. 12:30 check-in, lunch, and rest. We leave for the GAME DRIVE around 3:30 pm to head towards Lake Amboseli where you can see hippos and other animals until sunset, return to Kibo Camp, dinner, and overnight. After dinner, you can admire the welcome show of a MAASAI representative.
Day 3:
Wake up at 06:00, breakfast at 06:30, departure at 07.00. Visit, if you wish, to the nearby Maasai Village, where you can watch their typical dances and visit their homes (manyatta) and buy souvenirs. Departure towards the exit of the Park, to reach the City of You, where we will stop for lunch and a short relaxation. After lunch, return to the village or home along the places where the film “MY AFRICA” was shot. Arrival expected around h. 16:30
