Wake up at the first light of dawn, we leave after breakfast for a whole day dedicated to Safari, in the Masai Mara National Park. The reserve is bordered by the Serengeti Park, with which it forms a single ecosystem. The name of the reserve derives from the name of the Masai people (who inhabit various areas in the Serengeti plain) and of the Mara River The reserve is known for the exceptional concentration of fauna and for the famous migration of wildebeest and zebras which takes place from July to all August. The most represented habitat is that of the African grassland or savannah, dotted with typical umbrella-shaped acacias in the south-eastern area. The best known icon of the Maasai Mara is probably the image of the lion, of which there are large herds; in the park there are still all the so-called Big Five, (lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, buffalo) even if the rhino population is serious. Hippos are plentiful in the Mara River and the Talek River, and there are also plenty of cheetahs, but they are considered to be endangered. The wildebeest are the main inhabitants (millions of specimens). They migrate from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara in the fall and back again in the spring. There are also numerous other species of antelope, in particular Thompson’s gazelle and Grant’s gazelle, impalas, Topi antelope, and others. Large herds of zebras are found throughout the reserve. Giraffes (both Masai giraffes and common giraffes) also inhabit the plain. Stop for lunch in the equipped area near the river, with lunch box. After lunch, another game drive on the way back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we leave for a game drive. Then towards the airport to return to Malindi. transfer to the resort. Times, itineraries, lodges and camps are indicative, they may be subject to variations. It will depend on the location of the animals during our game drives. Possibility of departure and arrival from Nairobi.
